2013-11-14 - Dutch female-fronted symphonic metal band EPICA have a well-deserved reputation of being close to their dedicated fans. With nearly 2 million likes on Facebook, the band is covering new grounds within the virtual world, and they’re always eager to try new ways of reaching out to music lovers from around the world. To that end, EPICA singer SIMONE SIMONS, guitarist MARK JANSEN and keyboard player COEN JANSSEN are setting aside 60 minutes on Tuesday, November 19th at 10 a.m. PACIFIC / 1 p.m. EASTERN to chat with fans via Spotify’s Soundrop.

Celebrating their 10th Anniversary with a spectacular “One Night Only” sold-out concert at the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven, The Netherlands with five thousand fans in attendance, Retrospect, EPICA’s live 2-DVD/3-CD career retrospective, is strictly limited to 3,000 copies in North America and will be released in the U.S. and Canada on November 26th. It includes a 48-page booklet, exclusive interviews with all EPICA band members, and behind-the-scenes footage from their self-professed “longest & biggest show ever.”

The pyro-filled & lightshow-studded evening also included special guest appearances by fellow Dutch metal frontwoman Floor Jansen (NIGHTWISH, REVAMP) EPICA founding drummer Jeroen Simons, founding guitarist Ad Sluijter, and founding bassist Yves Huts performing on the band’s breakthrough single “Quietus” from EPICA’s 2005 album Consign To Oblivion.

In addition to the collection of EPICA of hits from their entire catalog, the Retrospect DVD also features instrumental covers of classics by Italian Baroque composer Antonio Lucio Vivaldi, Italian composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, and the Oscar-winning film composer John Williams.
