2005-05-25 - Canadian death metallers KATAKLYSM will enter the studio on July 10 to begin recording their new album, &raquo;In the Arms of Devastation&laquo;, tentatively due before the end of the year.<br><br>&quot;The writing of the album is almost complete and things are going very well. Don't expect any fashion core, no 'roman' haircuts or whining,&quot; the band write in a newsletter. &quot;Expect a crowbar to the head. KATAKLYSM enters the compound July 10th, and a monster will rise from it...we promise.&quot;<br><br>As previously reported, KATAKLYSM are inviting their fans, artists and friends around the world to design the cover art for their next album. The band encourages everyone that has artistic skill and has an original vision to submit their work by e-mail at <a href="mailto:smdesign@videotron.ca"><u>smdesign@videotron.ca</u></a>. The winning artwork will be selected by KATAKLYSM and the band's representatives at NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS. The lucky contest winner will see his/her creation used as the cover of the group's next album as well as on all accompanying merchandise items, where it will be fully credited. All you have to work with is the album's working title, which is &raquo;In the Arms of Devastation&laquo;. The deadline for all submissions is August 1.<br><br>KATAKLYSM will be embarking on a European headlining tour beginning in late June.
